(formerly Cloudrider Media/Astor Design Studios, Inc.) has been a leading Chicago website design firm and has developed several Internet based communications and website/multimedia solutions for individuals, entrepreneurial small business start-ups and corporations in Chicago and around the country. Astor Design takes great pride in its professionalism and focus on detail to delivering timely internet based solutions to client specific needs utilizing the latest technologies for developing client driven internet marketing solutions. Originally a PC technical services and business network development firm, Astor Design has rapidly grown and expanded in to a full-service Internet technical consulting and Chicago website design firm.

 

Principal Partner and Director Paul W. Norman brings over 25 years of executive search and Information Technology management consulting experience with such firms as Arbitron Radio-Television Research, KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP., and has held management level positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP., Searle/Monsanto, (where he developed computer programs for successfully searching for and identifying several key clinical scientists who developed CELEBREX.) He has also held technical executive search management positions at American Express Financial Services in Chicago, IL. and as Principal-Partner with Ward Howell International, a major worldwide Information Technology executive search /management consulting firm. While there, he managed several high-level IT search consulting positions for clients such as General Motors-Powertrain Division-Europe, The National Broadcasting Company (NBC), Paramount Pictures, Motorola and Intel.

 

Mr. Norman holds a BA degree from the University of Iowa in Radio/Television-Journalism/Mass Communications and has extensive extracurricular educational experience at Northwestern University in Radio-television production, screenwriting, film production, marketing, advertising and technical internet and computer programming. Additionally, he held operations and General Management positions for two Radio Shack, Corp stores in Chicago, IL and Business-Technical center management positions with CompUSA, another major computer systems service provider and retailer. He has extensive experience in customer service, technical support for PC and business computers and has built and installed numerous PC systems for small businesses and individuals. Mr. Norman has also taught marketing courses at junior colleges in Chicago. 

 

In his spare time, Mr. Norman performs close-up sleight-of-hand magic and has been a Professional Magician of over 30 years’ experience. He also enjoys deep sea fishing, motion picture cinematography, editing and production, swimming and ice hockey.
